About the Gower Bike Ride 2026

Entries for the Gower Bike Ride 2026 on 6th September 2026 are now open. Entry fees are £23.50 for the 12 and 35 miles routes and £33.50 for the 63 mile route.

You can choose from 3 routes of 12 miles, 35 miles or 63 miles. The 12 and 35 miles routes are suitable for the developing cyclist or those rediscovering a love for cycling. Both routes are on the road and suitable for all types of bikes. The 63 mile route is more challenging and provides a tour of the Gower Peninsula with highlights including Caswell, Welsh Moor, Rhossili, Cefn Bryn and Oxwich with just over 4000 feet of climbing for the more experienced rider.

Full sign posting
First aid
Cycle repair teams
Recovery vehicles
Refreshment stops
Medal for every rider

Cycling Confidence Builder Course

A supportive 10-week programme for people who can already ride a bike but would like to feel more confident on the road or when riding in a group. The sessions are led by volunteers who hold British Cycling Ride Leader training, helping ensure a safe, steady, and welcoming environment.

Each week focuses on building road awareness, improving group-riding skills, and gradually increasing distance. The aim is simply to help riders feel more comfortable and capable — and, for those who wish to, to take on the Gower Bike Ride 12 or 35.

Sessions take place every Tuesday evening for 10 weeks, starting 2 June 2026 at 18:30, meeting at The Recreation Ground car park, Mumbles Road, Swansea.

Participation is free.
We kindly invite a voluntary £30 donation to support the work of the charity.
